Problem

In the city of Ostrovets, there are non-canalized areas from which sewage machines pick up liquid household waste and submit them for further treatment to city treatment facilities.

Decision

For the control of incoming wastewater and its preliminary treatment before being fed to the treatment plant, the best option was to install a sewage discharge station with a container drum grate in the kit and a sewage pumping station. Liquid household waste from the cars goes to the sewage receiving station, then to the sewage pumping station and then they are pumped to the main sewage pumping station of the city sewage treatment plants.

Requirements and parameters for selection were identified. Aquaecology ALC is a representative of the Polish manufacturing company ENKO-POMIAR in the Republic of Belarus. ENKO-POMIAR is one of the global manufacturers of sewage receiving stations. In this case, for a quality solution of the Customer’s problem, our engineers proposed a waste water collection station of the SPR type, the kit of which included:

• container drum grill with squeezing screw;
• compressor;
• sensors: flow meter, pH meter, conductivity sensor;
• control panel;
• a printer;
• heater;
• sampler;
• set of cables and pipelines;
• separate sewer pumping station with a distillation system.

As part of the reconstruction of existing sewage networks and structures in Ostrovets in 2018, Aquaecology ALC delivered a sewage receiving station with a grate complete with a pumping station with an agitation system as well as carried out installation and commissioning works.

After installing the station and connecting it to the network, our experts together with the engineering staff of ENKO-POMIAR carried out installation supervision and commissioning, at the end of which the Commissioning Certificate was signed. Since the beginning of 2019, the sewage receiving station has been operating without failures and complaints from the operating personnel.

The customer now has the opportunity to control the incoming wastewater and their preliminary treatment. Individually selected equipment protects the treatment plant from the destruction of active sludge, is automated, reliable and fully adapted for use in Ostrovets.
